Of all the lessons the dice was definitely the most difficult for me to make. With practice and patience I got better at getting things to look the way I wanted them to. I think my key ring was very successful, and I think I was good at getting things to line up the way I want just because I'm picky about that. If I could design anything with a 3D printer, I would probably design little action figures or animals just because I think they could make cute decorations for my room.

I miss photoshop. This project was way harder for me than all of the photoshop ones, and it doesn't look nearly as nice as those did. My piece was "successful" because you can still tell that it's supposed to be Mario. I would change a lot in the future if I were to get better at illustrator because currently it looks interesting to say the least. The proportions of lots of things are off, and the lines aren't exactly how I would want them. I am happy this project is over.
I knew I wanted my product to be Hamilton related because I love the musical (even though I have never seen it in person), and for some reason I thought it would be funny for it to be called Smell the Revolution. Once I thought of that I knew it would either have to be a perfume bottle or candles, and I thought a Hamilton candle set would be cool to make. I had already found some Hamilton fan art that featured some of the main characters, and I knew that was what I wanted to use on the candles themselves. From there I looked up candle instructions to put on the bottom of the candles. I also wanted the character's names on their candles, so I created little boxes for each candles with their names in them. Then for the outer sticker I copied what the original outer sticker was and then added in the Hamilton stuff. I used another piece of Hamilton fan art that I like a lot for that. I think the most successful thing about my design is that it seems like it could be a real product that someone might actually go out and buy (I know I would). If i could change anything I would make it so the candles were stacked on top of each other nicer, so that way the stickers would have gone on better and easier.
The man who is shown fishing lives in the ice cream house I made. He lives there with his family, and if they ever go hungry they could just eat the house. I picked ice cream because it is my favorite food, and if it didn't melt I think it would be cool to have an ice cream house. The only issue is I would probably end up slowly eating my house. To make this look realistic I tried adding sprinkles to the chocolate ice cream to make for a more typical roof. I had to warp the door and the windows to make them look more attached to the cones. I also made the cherry on the ice cream into the chimney, and I had to get rid of the stem to add the smoke leaving the chimney. If I could change one thing about this piece I would try to make the stairs leading up to the door to make them look less copy and pasted and a little more like they actually are sitting on the rocks.
This is a link to the new animal I did freshman year with Mr. Sands since I already did the frog tongue. https://carlyaoitart.blogspot.com/2015/03/newminal.html The biggest problem I had with this project was trying to change the color of the dogs fur to match the color of the butterfly wings I picked. It took multiple attempts and lots of cleaning up with the eraser tool to get the dog to look like the butterfly wings are part of it. I also had trouble getting the butterfly wings to look like they are attached to the dog. If I could change anything about this piece I would try to find a way to make it look less creepy because I thought this was going to be really cute, but it turned out kind of creepy. This animal is a puppyfly- a mixture of a puppy and a butterfly. I came up with the idea to do this because I had to use a gorilla last time I did this, and I wanted to use two cute/pretty animals this time. They ended up not looking quite as cute/pretty when I mixed them though.
